EA Access can happen on PS4
EA Access can happen on PS4

EA Access is a successful subscription offer from Electronic Arts that grants an access to many EA's titles for a monthly fee. It's available on PC and XOne - and soon maybe on PS4, too.

Electronic Arts wants to bring EA Access to as many platforms as possible, everywhere the publisher has games on. Up until now the service is available only on Xbox One na PC, offering an 10-hour access to many games, including Need for Speed Payback. All we have to do is pay a monthly subscription. What about PS4? Sony did not want another subscription for PlayStation users.

Is anything changed? We don't know yet, because EA did not specifically mentioned PlayStation 4, but it very likely we'll get EA Access:

[...] our subscription services like EA Access and Origin Access are bringing more players from across our network to join in. Our subscription player base continues to grow. And you should expect us to continue driving this model to more platforms going forward.

What "more platforms" are there? Well, it probably concerns PlayStation 4, but also they could talk about mobile devices, where we have many EA's smaller games. Nintendo Switch is out of the question, EA Access would offer just one game there. So if it really is PS4, EA had to make an effort to convince Sony, for the firm didn't want this subscription on its consoles. Who wants to pay for PS Plus AND Access for EA's games, right?

If all this is true, the pricing is as follows:

  • 1-month subscription - £3.99 / €3.99
  • 1-year subscription - £19.99 / €24.99
